Job Title: Head of Project Management

Location: Hybrid – 1 day/week on-site in Oxford

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Overview:

An innovative biotech company is seeking a Head of Project Management to lead cross-functional development programs from early research through clinical stages and regulatory submission. This senior leadership role will shape and drive program strategy, governance, and execution across a dynamic R&D portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead strategic planning and oversight of product development programs
• Align cross-functional teams (R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, clinQuality, Finance) toward key milestones
• Establish governance processes and reporting tools to track progress, risks, and resources
• Drive operational excellence, risk mitigation, and timely program delivery
• Communicate program status to senior leadership and stakeholders

Profile:

• Advanced degree (PhD, MSc, MD) in life sciences or related field
• 10+ years’ experience in biopharma program management, including 5+ years in leadership
• Strong track record in immunotherapy, vaccines, or related fields preferred
• Skilled in program governance, team leadership, and stakeholder engagement
• Familiar with tools and methodologies such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile
