Mining Remediation Authority in Mansfield is seeking a Head of Project Delivery (Coal) to own one of its largest capital programmes (£20m–£30m annually) and lead an experienced team of project and programme professionals delivering environmental and community benefits.

Lead a nationally significant environmental investment programme
Most project delivery leadership roles are about delivering projects. This is an opportunity to shape how we improve the environment, protect communities and manage mining legacy risks across the UK.
We’re looking for an accomplished programme leader to head our Coal Project Delivery team and take ownership of a £20m to £30m annual capital investment programme. You’ll lead projects that improve water quality, protect communities and create lasting environmental benefits.
You’ll combine strategic leadership with a strong record of delivery at scale. You’ll know how to set direction, build organisational confidence and bring people together around complex priorities, while maintaining a clear focus on outcomes. You'll join an established and highly capable team, with genuine scope to shape future delivery, influence organisational priorities and leave a lasting legacy through nationally significant environmental projects.
You’ll lead an established team of experienced project and programme professionals with a strong track record of delivering complex environmental projects.
We welcome applications from leaders in infrastructure, water, utilities, highways, environmental delivery, construction and other complex programme environments. Mining experience is not essential. What matters is your ability to lead people, shape strategy and deliver major programmes successfully. Specialist knowledge of our work can be developed.

Working with senior colleagues across Operations, Technical, Engineering, Planning and Environmental teams, you’ll provide the leadership, governance and strategic oversight needed to deliver a diverse and complex portfolio safely and effectively.
