Job summary

TXM Recruit is seeking an experienced Head of Programmes to lead a portfolio of cross-functional projects from initiation to completion. You will ensure on-time, on-scope, and on-budget delivery while communicating with internal teams, stakeholders and third-party partners.

You will bring a strong project management background, excellent organisational and leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, technically focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of proven experience in project or programme management.
• PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile certification would be advantageous.

• Develop detailed project plans, schedules and resource allocations.

TXM are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Head of Programmes to lead and coordinate a portfolio of cross-functional projects from initiation through to successful completion.

This is a key leadership position, responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget, while maintaining strong communication across internal teams, stakeholders and third-party partners.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent organisational and leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects within a fast-paced and technically focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define project scope, objectives and deliverables in line with wider business goals.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules and resource allocations.
• Coordinate internal teams and third-party suppliers to ensure successful project delivery.
• Manage day-to-day project activities, identifying risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
• Monitor project performance, budgets, timelines and key deliverables.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, project teams and senior leadership.
• Lead and mentor project teams, providing direction and support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct post-project reviews to identify successes, lessons learned and areas for improvement.
• Ensure projects comply with company policies, procedures and industry best practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve and streamline existing processes and ways of working.
• Provide strong leadership across multiple programmes, ensuring priorities remain aligned with business objectives.Key Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in project or programme management, ideally within a technical or engineering environment.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously from conception through to completion.

• Excellent planning, organisational and time management abilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to resolving complex issues.
• Experience identifying, assessing and mitigating project risks.
• Strong financial and budgeting knowledge.
• Competent with project management tools and software such as Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira or Trello.
