Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a Head Of Programmes in St Asaph, Wales to lead and develop a team of Programme Management professionals across multiple projects from bid development through to production readiness.

The role focuses on delivering projects on time, to cost, and to quality, while driving continuous improvement and capability development within the team. Strong communication and strategic influence are essential for success in an international, high-tech environment.

Qualifications

  • Degree level with engineering or scientific bias, enabling technical dialogue with engineering and production teams.
  • Experience delivering complex technically challenging programmes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with international cultures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; professional presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Programme Management Team with annual reviews and performance metrics.
  • Act as capability lead for programme management.
  • Develop and train the Programme Management team.
  • Oversee Programme Management across multiple projects from bid to production readiness, ensuring on-time, on-cost delivery with quality.
  • Maintain the programs dashboard and metrics.

Job Outline

This role will lead, manage and develop a team of Programme Management professionals, responsible for multiple projects from bid development through to production readiness, ensuring that the projects achieve the desired deliverables, on time and to cost and quality. Personal Specification

It is essential that all candidates have the following:

  • Educated to degree level, with an engineering or scientific bias – providing the ability to have a technically credible dialog with the engineering and production teams.
  • Experience of delivering complex technically challenging programmes
  • A high standard of general education, and conversant with Microsoft office applications - Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Confidence, professionalism with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and can represent our company at all levels and within international cultures.
  • High motivation, responsiveness and focus, also possess meticulous attention to detail – crucial for ensuring programme requirements are fully understood and met.
  • Confidence and credibility to influence business performance
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, AS9100 and associated quality standards
  • Bid and programme management skills within an engineering or manufacturing process environment.
  • Managing customers, suppliers and internal business project teams to deliver quality & timely results.
Desirable Attributes
  • Experience of working with MRP / ERP applications and associated software
  • Prince II or equivalent program management qualification
  • Membership of a recognised programme management body
  • Exposure and/or experience of military or commercial optronic systems and associated technologies.
