Job summary

Zachary Daniels is partnering with a consumer products business in Greater Manchester to recruit a Head of Product Development. You will lead a diverse portfolio from idea to production, shaping exciting ranges and building a high-performing team.

Travel to factories, including China/the Far East, will be part of the role to ensure quality and scale. The ideal candidate combines genuine creativity with commercial instinct, delivering innovative products that excite customers across categories

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading Product Development in consumer products.
• Experience across toys, gifting, homeware, seasonal or similar.
• Passion for product and ability to turn trends into ideas.
• Experience managing costs, pricing, margins and large product ranges.

Responsibilities

• Lead, inspire and develop a Product Development team with energy and culture.
• Own the product development strategy across a large, varied portfolio.
• Generate new ideas by identifying consumer trends and opportunities.
• Balance creativity with commercial thinking on cost, pricing and margins.
• Collaborate with Design, Sales, Merchandising, QA and international suppliers.
• Oversee development from concept through production and launch.
• Travel internationally to factories, including China/Far East as needed.
• Drive continuous improvement across processes and ways of working.
• Build strong internal relationships and contribute to leadership decisions.
