TripAdvisor LLC in London is seeking a Senior Data Science Manager (Experimentation) to own the health, velocity, and governance of our experimentation program across Viator and Tripadvisor. You will lead from within the Product Data Science function, ensuring consistent, high-quality design, execution, and interpretation of experiments.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in data science and experimentation within a product-led organisation.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python with deep understanding of A/B testing and causal inference.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end experimentation operating system, including governance, standards, lifecycle, and quality controls across all experiments.
• Define and enforce experimentation standards with consistent rules for design, metrics, validity, and metadata.
• Increase experimentation velocity and coverage across product surfaces while avoiding under-tested areas.
• Establish a single source of truth for experimentation health for leadership to understand tests and outcomes.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data Engineering, and Product Data Science to align priorities and resolve system-level issues.
• Identify and eliminate systemic failure modes in experiment design and execution to prevent recurring issues.
• Reduce dependence on central experimentation by improving upstream design quality and embedding correct behaviours in product teams.
• Maintain experimentation literacy across the organisation so teams can design, run, and interpret experiments effectively.
• Design and scale frameworks and tooling to make correct experimentation the default and reduce need for ad hoc guidance.
• Ensure metadata integrity so results are comparable, auditable, and usable for decision-making.
