Job summary

Aureos Infrastructure Services Limited is seeking a strategic Head of Procurement to lead and optimize all procurement activities for the Washwood Heath HS2 project. You will drive cost savings, supplier performance, and governance across the JV, collaborating with operations, finance and legal to ensure compliant, efficient processes.

We require a senior leader with a track record in infrastructure procurement, strong negotiation and vendor-management skills, and a deep understanding of ERP

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field; Master's preferred.
• Minimum 10 years in procurement with at least 5 in a senior leadership role, ideally in infrastructure.
• Proven track record of delivering cost savings and operational efficiencies.
• Experience in contract negotiation, vendor management, and supply chain optimization.
• Strong leadership, communication and analytical skills; proficient in procurement software/ERP.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies aligned with project objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the procurement team to high performance.
• Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships.
• Oversee source-to-pay lifecycle, including requisitioning, PO creation and payments.
• Implement best practices: spend analysis, forecasting, risk management.
• Monitor procurement metrics and drive improvements and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with operations, finance and legal to integrate JV procurement processes.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, policies and ethical standards.
• Drive cost savings and value creation across categories; manage supply chain risks.
• Oversee HS2 process and approval of suppliers/subcontractors, including nominees.
