Job summary

GTS Group Ltd seeks a Head of Supply Chain Operations & Procurement to own the strategy and lead the end-to-end function across Herefordshire and South Wales. You will shape how the department operates for years to come and build the team to deliver it.

You will supervise a team of supply chain and demand planning professionals, partner with Engineering and Commercial, and drive programmes with high compliance and governance. A strong MCIPS background is essential.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience of a supply chain or demand planning team.
• Strong understanding of UK public procurement regulations or defence procurement frameworks.
• MCIPS qualification is required.

Head of Supply Chain Operations & Procurement | Herefordshire/ South Wales

This one's for someone who's tired of fixing supply chains from the outside and wants to build one properly, from the top.

Our client is a specialist defence technology business, small enough that you'll know every supplier by name, serious enough that its products protect people in genuinely hostile environments. Think mission-critical electronics, not commodity kit. The work matters, and National Security Vetting will confirm you're the right person to be trusted with it (you'll typically need 5 years' continuous UK residency to qualify).

You’ll lead the Supply Chain and Demand Planning function end to end. That means setting the strategy, not just running the playbook someone left you. You'll be the person who decides how the department operates for the next few years, then builds the team to deliver it.

Day to day, you'll:
