Job summary

Southern Water invites applications for a Head of Pollution Performance. The role is flexible within our region with regular site visits, reporting to the Director of Wastewater Operations. You will lead a comprehensive pollution reduction strategy and drive accountability, learning and risk management.

As a senior leader you will oversee KPIs, digital tool enhancements, and cross-functional delivery while securing business cases and managing funding within budgets and strategic priorities.

Qualifications

• A track record of delivering major multi-disciplinary change programmes and projects at senior level.
• Ability to create and secure business case approval at Executive level.
• Strong coordination and team-working skills across operations, compliance, engineering and project management.
• Visionary leadership to align strategic agendas with delivery.
• Proven track record improving change competency in previous organisations.
• Strong understanding of project management techniques for portfolios.
• Strong strategic planning and forecasting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a unified pollution reduction plan across the organisation.
• Establish and promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement related to pollution management.
• Monitor, analyse and report on KPIs related to pollution reduction.
• Enhance digital tools to improve visibility of risks and opportunities; build predictive capabilities to prevent incidents.
• Lead cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and collaboration in achieving pollution reduction goals.
• Oversee the funding of the pollution reduction plan, drive investment in key areas, and ensure alignment with budgetary and strategic priorities.
