What You'll Bring:

We're looking for a Head of PMO to join our growing team.

The Head of PMO is responsible for overseeing the strategic alignment, governance, and execution of the UK business' portfolio of projects and programmes. This role ensures the administration and control of delivery frameworks, enabling delivery teams to manage change consistently and achieve expected business outcomes. The role involves aligning projects with the overall business strategy and financial plan, managing the PMO team, and driving efficiencies, consistency, and improved maturity in project delivery.

Day to Day You'll Be:

  • Define and own the Portfolio Delivery Lifecycle (PDLC) and ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements across all projects.
  • Define, implement, and ensure adherence to the Change Framework Policy at the enterprise level.
  • Manage enterprise governance forums within delivery lifecycles, including C-suite stakeholders, to ensure effective decision-making on project undertakings and funding.
  • Develop and deploy standards, methods, and tools for project management to ensure robust design, planning, and execution.
  • Monitor portfolio health and performance, providing regular updates to senior leadership. Communicate portfolio status, risks, issues, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
  • Lead the prioritisation of the enterprise portfolio, ensuring strategic alignment, financial control, and feasibility.
  • Design and implement portfolio-level reporting and key management information.
  • Ensure internal and external compliance standards are understood and demonstrated to an auditable level, embedding requirements into project processes.
  • Lead and mentor the UK PMO team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Provide programme and project managers with guidance on appropriate project governance

Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Outstanding influencing skills, with the ability to communicate appropriately and credibly at all levels across the organisation, including senior management, executive, and corporate leadership.
  • Proven ability to define and articulate a comprehensive and actionable programme of work, resolving complex inter-dependencies across multiple teams and systems.
  • Understanding and experience of PMO structures in large organisations
  • Background in a technology discipline, understanding different project types, their specific challenges, and how to address them effectively.
  • Methodical, thorough, diligent with excellent organisational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of the markets in which TransUnion operates.
  • Ability to use standard Microsoft products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and Project Management tooling such as Smartsheet/Jira.
  • Proven ability to manage diverse change programmes in a matrix management environment.
  • Experience of full project delivery lifecycle, with knowledge of multiple delivery methodologies across development and technical delivery disciplines.
  • Substantial PMO experience operating at a leadership level.

  • Relevant degree level qualification
