Job summary

E3 Recruitment is seeking a Head of PMO for a major industrial manufacturing business in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on strengthening project governance, improving portfolio oversight and driving strategic programmes across a complex organisation.

You will establish and lead the PMO, develop governance frameworks, monitor delivery and provide reporting to senior leaders. Significant portfolio/programme management experience in manufacturing, with recognised qualifications, is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong governance, financial control, and benefits realisation skills.
• Leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
• PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM PMQ, PMP or equivalent advantageous.

Job description

This Head of PMO role provides the opportunity to join a major industrial manufacturing business and play a key role in strengthening project delivery and governance across a complex organisation. The role offers significant scope to establish and develop the PMO function and influence project delivery across the business.

As Head of PMO, you will work with senior leaders and project teams to improve project governance, performance, and portfolio oversight, supporting the successful delivery of strategic projects and programmes.

To be considered for this role, candidates should have significant portfolio management, programme management, or project delivery experience within a complex manufacturing, industrial, or similarly challenging environment. Experience delivering large-scale transformation, operational improvement, or capital investment programmes is essential, alongside strong governance, financial control, benefits realisation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM PMQ, PMP, or an equivalent project management qualification would be advantageous.
