Qualifications

• MSc, PhD or equivalent in MR Physics or related field.
• Significant postdoctoral and/or industry experience in MRI physics or quantitative imaging.
• Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing scientific or technical teams.
• Experience delivering complex scientific or technical programmes within multidisciplinary environments.
• Strong expertise in MRI physics, quantitative imaging, and scientific innovation.
• Scientific computing and/or software development experience.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of MRI physicists and engineers.
• Define and deliver the Physics roadmap, aligning scientific innovation with business objectives.
• Drive the development of quantitative MRI technologies, methodologies, and products.
• Own the delivery of Physics programmes and projects, ensuring quality, prioritisation, and execution.
• Act as the organisation's subject matter expert in MRI physics, partnering with Product, Engineering, Regulatory, Quality, Commercial, and Scientific teams.
• Build and maintain collaborations with academic, clinical, and industry partners.
• Support strategic decision-making through technical and scientific leadership.
• Represent the organisation at conferences, scientific collaborations, customer engagements, and industry events.

What you'll be doing

As Head of Physics, you will:

What we're looking for

You’ll bring:

• MSc, PhD, or equivalent advanced degree in MR Physics or a related field
• Significant postdoctoral and/or industry experience in MRI physics or quantitative imaging
• A proven track record of leading and developing high-performing scientific or technical teams
• Experience delivering complex scientific or technical programmes within multidisciplinary environments
• Strong expertise in MRI physics, quantitative imaging, and scientific innovation
• Scientific computing and/or software development experience
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences

Nice to have

• Experience with quantitative MRI methods on clinical MRI scanners
• Commercial product development experience
• Clinical trial imaging experience
• Experience developing Software as a Medical Device (SaMD)
