The University of Salford invites applications for Head of Philanthropy, Alumni & Supporter Engagement on a 12-month maternity cover. Reporting to the Deputy CEO and CFO, you will lead a 13-strong team to shape and deliver our philanthropy and alumni engagement strategy.

You will build lifelong relationships with donors, trusts and corporate partners to secure investment, drive high-value fundraising, and enhance supporter relations.

Qualifications

• Requires a proven track record of securing significant philanthropic income.
• Excellent communication skills across diverse stakeholders.
• Strategic vision with the ability to translate strategy into action.
• Ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams (13-person team).

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 13 professionals across fundraising, alumni engagement, stewardship and operations.
• Oversee donor relations with trusts, foundations and corporate partners.
• Develop and deliver high-value philanthropic income and engagement strategies.
• Inspire engagement with a global alumni community of 230,000 graduates.
