Grace College in Gateshead is seeking a Head of Department (Performing Arts) to inspire students with expert subject knowledge, energy and dedication. You will lead the department, shape a lively music and drama curriculum and expand a high-impact co-curricular programme.

Working with the Director of Arts and Events, you will drive teaching quality, deploy data to improve outcomes, and build partnerships with local arts organisations to broaden students' cultural experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the music and drama curriculum and co-curricular activities.
• Ensure high-quality teaching across the department through QA and planning.
• Collaborate with the Director of Arts and Events on school-wide events.
• Build links with local arts organisations to broaden student opportunities.
