About the Role
We’re seeking a dynamic, data-driven leader to shape the future of pricing and performance insight at Jensten Underwriting. Reporting directly to the Director of Underwriting, you will play a key role in driving data-led decision-making in our underwriting strategy. Leading a team of pricing analysts, you’ll develop and implement models, tools, and insights that balance sustainable profitability with commercial growth.

This leadership role requires analytical expertise, commercial acumen, and collaboration skills to enhance pricing decisions, underwriting performance, and trading outcomes.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing and maintaining pricing models for rate reviews, elasticity analysis, and loss ratio forecasting.
• Developing performance management frameworks to monitor rate changes, product mix, and market movements.
• Building tools and dashboards to provide actionable insights to underwriting leaders.
• Collaborating with data engineering teams to structure data sources for modeling and forecasting.
• Working with external actuarial providers to maximize value from their insights.
• Producing management information and forecasts for strategic decisions.
• Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of pricing analysts, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
• Embedding pricing best practices within product development and underwriting processes.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in commercial insurance pricing or performance insight, within MGA or underwriting environments.
• Deep technical knowledge of pricing methodologies (GLMs, elasticity modeling, etc.) and relevant tools.
• Ability to communicate complex data clearly to underwriting and leadership teams.
• Experience in leading and developing high-performing analysts.
• Comfort with strategic and hands-on work.
• Strong understanding of underwriting profitability and market dynamics.
• Academic background in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or similar.
