Job summary

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Head of Involvement to lead patient, public and community engagement across the organisation, ensuring voices influence decisions at the highest level.

You will provide strategic leadership for engagement across major transformation programmes, build partnerships with Healthwatch, community groups and researchers, and advance governance that turns insight into service improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of the Trust's involvement strategy.
• Provide strategic leadership for engagement activity linked to major transformation programmes (e.g., New Hospital Programme).
• Build and maintain influential relationships with partners including Healthwatch, voluntary and community groups, independent research partners and seldom-heard communities.
• Lead the governance framework for member and governor engagement, ensuring statutory responsibilities are met and fostering meaningful involvement.
• Commission and oversee specialist engagement, research and evaluation activity with value for money and governance.
• Work with senior executives, governors and external stakeholders to embed a culture where patient and community insight informs decision-making and service improvement.
