IQVIA in the United Kingdom seeks a Head of Patient and Instrument Science and Thought Leadership to lead strategic, scientific and regulatory development of Clinical Outcomes Assessments (COAs) and Composite Measures used in trials and real‑world studies. This role ensures that the patient perspective is rigorously measured and integrated into drug development and regulatory submissions.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (PhD, Master’s, or equivalent) in Psychology, Behavioral measurement, Health Services Research, Epidemiology, Pharmacy, Public Health, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in COA/outcomes research within pharmaceutical, CRO, or consultancy settings, with publications.

Responsibilities

  • Define instrument development strategies across therapeutic areas, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory guidance.
  • Lead the development, validation, and implementation of COA instruments, including psychometric evaluation and endpoint definition.
  • Regulatory Engagement: Lead interactions with FDA/EMA regarding COAs and regulatory submissions.
  • Methodological Expertise: Direct the use of advanced methodologies, including digital COA strategies and PED analytics.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with multiple teams to expand COA utility and meaningful health changes.
