Job summary

HR GO Group is seeking an experienced Head of Pastry to lead our client's bakery in Folkestone. This hands-on role runs 4am–1pm, 4 or 5 days a week, with Friday work essential, and a 6-month fixed-term contract. You will oversee pastry production, laminating, shaping and finishing, while driving quality and new product ideas.

You'll manage stock, train the pastry team and maintain a clean, efficient section, taking ownership of the pastry range and ensuring exceptional results across all bakes.

Qualifications

• Experienced pastry professional with leadership abilities.
• Hands-on management of a pastry production area.
• Strong baking, laminating, shaping, and finishing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day pastry production.
• Oversee laminating, dough handling, shaping and baking.
• Develop and test new pastry products.
• Maintain high quality and consistent outputs.
• Order ingredients and manage stock.
• Train and support the pastry team.
• Keep the section clean and running efficiently.
