Job summary

Garden Centre Restaurant in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Head Pastry Chef to lead our pastry section, creating cakes, desserts and patisserie from scratch in a busy, high-volume kitchen with daytime shifts only.

This hands-on role offers a supportive team, opportunities to develop, training, and career progression within the group; weekend and bank holiday work is required, with a 5 days out of 7 pattern.

Qualifications

• Strong pastry and patisserie skills with experience creating cakes, desserts and sweet treats from scratch.
• Experience leading and developing a pastry team.
• Fully qualified pastry background with a high level of technical skill.
• Strong organisation skills with stock control, ordering and waste minimisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the pastry operation and maintain exceptional standards.
• Deliver cakes, desserts and patisserie from scratch on a daily basis.
• Coach and develop the pastry team to maintain quality and consistency.
• Ensure stock control and ordering are efficient to minimise waste.
