Job summary

Eden Rose is seeking an experienced Paraplanning Manager in Glasgow to lead a high-performing paraplanning team within a growing financial planning practice. You will drive technical excellence, develop people, and deliver efficient, high-quality advice services.

Work closely with Financial Planners, Compliance and Client Support to ensure timely, compliant output and continuous improvement of the end-to-end advice process.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience of paraplanning teams.
• Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, taxation and retirement planning.
• Experience reviewing high-quality suitability reports.
• Proven ability to manage workloads, team performance and service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the paraplanning team through regular 1:1s, performance reviews and mentoring.
• Manage workload allocation and meet client deadlines and service standards.
• Monitor team capacity and address bottlenecks proactively.
• Track KPIs: turnaround times, WIP, productivity, quality and service.
• Maintain high standards across suitability reports, technical analysis and client documentation.
• Act as technical escalation point for complex cases involving pensions, investments, taxation and retirement planning.
• Drive process improvements to reduce delays and rework; ensure compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency using Intelliflo and cashflow modelling tools.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Paraplanning Manager to lead and develop a high-performing paraplanning team within a growing financial planning business. This is a leadership role for someone who combines strong technical expertise with a passion for developing people, improving processes and delivering an efficient, high-quality advice service.

Working closely with Financial Planners, Compliance and Client Support, you will ensure the team delivers technically accurate, compliant and timely work while driving continuous improvements across the advice process.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the paraplanning team through regular 1:1s, performance reviews and ongoing mentoring.
• Manage workload allocation, prioritising cases to meet client deadlines and service standards.
• Monitor team capacity and proactively address bottlenecks.
• Track and report KPIs, including turnaround times, work in progress, productivity, quality and service performance.
• Maintain high standards across suitability reports, technical analysis and client documentation.
• Act as the technical escalation point for complex cases involving pensions, investments, taxation and retirement planning.
• Drive process improvements to reduce delays, duplication and rework while maintaining compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through better use of Intelliflo, cashflow modelling software, provider platforms and technology.
• Work collaboratively with Financial Planners, Compliance and Client Support to strengthen the end-to-end advice process.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and development of new paraplanners.
• Lead the team through regulatory, system and process changes, ensuring new ways of working are successfully embedded.
• Contribute to wider operational discussions, using management information to identify risks and opportunities.

About You

• Previous experience leading or supervising a paraplanning team.
• Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, taxation and retirement planning.
• Experience reviewing and overseeing high-quality suitability reports.
• Proven ability to manage workloads, team performance and service delivery.
• Experience using Intelliflo and cashflow modelling software.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• Diploma qualified as a minimum, with Chartered status or progress towards Chartered desirable.
