Job summary

Places Leisure, part of Places for People, seeks a Head of Operational Optimisation to lead data-driven resource management and cost control across sites. You will enhance labour planning, forecasting and budgeting, partnering with senior leaders to deliver operational and commercial goals.

The role involves travel to Leisure sites 2–3 days per week and a commitment to inclusion and safeguarding in our processes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in labour planning, workforce management and operational performance.
• Forecasting operational demand and translating into practical labour plans.
• Experience analysing labour and non-labour P&L performance and cost drivers.
• Practical experience using time-and-motion studies (DILO) to assess activity.
• Advanced experience with Excel and Power BI for modeling and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of smarter, data-led ways to manage resources and costs.
• Improve labour planning, scheduling and forecasting across multiple sites.
• Identify efficiencies, reduce avoidable spend and protect customer experience.
• Create cost models to support investment decisions and refits.
• Collaborate with operational leaders, Finance and central teams.
