Role: Head of Joint Venture Operations & Commercial Affairs – Logistics & Heavy Lifting (KSA)

Reporting To: Joint Venture Board

Are you an experienced operations leader with a strong commercial mindset and deep technical expertise in cranes, trailers, and heavy transport equipment? We're representing a leading joint venture in the heavy logistics sector seeking a Head of Operations & Commercial Affairs to drive strategic growth and operational excellence across Saudi Arabia and the wider region.

This is a unique opportunity to step into a leadership role with full operational ownership, overseeing business development, project execution, stakeholder engagement, and compliance across one of the most dynamic and high-growth logistics markets in the world.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial & Business Growth

• Lead client engagement, tendering, and business development activities across energy, construction, and infrastructure sectors.
• Manage end-to-end commercial processes: pricing strategies, proposal development, contract negotiations, and deal closures.
• Represent the JV at key industry events and forums to build visibility and pipeline.

Operations Management

• Oversee the planning and delivery of heavy lift and transport projects, including site inspections, route planning, and crane deployment.
• Provide hands-on technical input on equipment selection and utilization to ensure project success.
• Coordinate logistics, staffing, and mobilization of operational teams and resources.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as a neutral party managing the interests of both JV partners.
• Provide regular performance updates and strategic recommendations to the JV Board.
• Build and maintain transparent relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Shape the JV’s commercial roadmap in alignment with local market dynamics and regulatory frameworks.
• Monitor changes in industry trends, client expectations, and competition to maintain a competitive edge.
• Build and lead high-performing teams across commercial and operations functions.
• Drive recruitment and workforce planning to support scaling of services.
• Recommend tools and systems to improve operational transparency and efficiency.

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Logistics, or related field.
• 5–7+ years in a senior operational or commercial leadership role within logistics, heavy lifting, or transport.
• Deep technical knowledge of cranes, trailers, axle lines, and lifting equipment.
• Strong background in contract negotiation, project pricing, and operational delivery in the KSA market.
• Experience in a joint venture, cross-border, or multicultural business environment.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.

Additional Requirements:

• Must demonstrate neutrality and independence—no direct alignment to JV partner interests.
• Willingness to travel within Saudi Arabia and regionally as required.
• Agreement to a two-year post-role non-compete covering associated entities.
