Job summary

Cactus Search Ltd is seeking a senior Head of Operations with extensive mortgage and lending experience to oversee all operational aspects of a Buy-to-Let focused portfolio in a regulated financial services environment.

You will lead operational teams, drive performance, and implement transformation across underwriting, completions, collections and governance. Senior stakeholder engagement and risk management are essential for immediate impact.

Job description

I’m currently working on a senior Head of Operations opportunity with a specialist Financial Services business inNorth Hampshire.

This is a genuinely broad operational leadership role within a mortgage and specialist lending environment, with a particular focus on Buy-to-Let.

The successful candidate will have oversight across the operational journey, including:

• Underwriting operations
• Completions
• Asset management / collections
• Accounts
• Collections & recoveries
• Operational controls and governance

This is a role for an experienced operational leader who can look across the whole customer and lending journey, identify where things can work better and then actually make the changes happen.

The opportunity - You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading and developing operational teams
• Driving operational performance, service quality and customer outcomes
• Improving processes, controls and operational efficiency
• Leading transformation, automation and continuous improvement
• Owning operational risk, governance and regulatory controls
• Managing third-party suppliers and strategic partners
• Using MI and performance data to identify risks and opportunities
• Managing resource planning, capacity and budgets
• Acting as a senior escalation point across operational and customer matters
• Influencing senior leadership and executive stakeholders

What I’m looking for - The key piece is mortgage / lending operations experience.
