Job summary

COREcruitment in London is seeking a Head of Operations to lead performance across a large national restaurant estate. This hands-on senior role will manage Area/Operations Managers, drive sales and profitability, and ensure consistent guest experience across sites.

You will spend significant time in restaurants, coaching leaders and ensuring plans land at site level, with travel across the estate.

Head of Operations – Established Branded Restaurant Group

Location: London with National Travel
Salary: Up to £120,000

We are working with a large, established restaurant group looking for a Head of Operations to lead performance across a significant national estate.

This is a hands-on senior operations role, leading a team of experienced Area / Operations Managers and working closely with the Operations Director to make sure restaurants are performing consistently across people, standards, sales and profitability.

There is change happening across the business, so they need someone who can bring energy, clarity and consistency to the operation – getting close to the restaurants, supporting the senior team and making sure plans actually land at site level.

The Role:

• Lead and develop a team of Area Managers
• Take ownership of operational performance across a large restaurant estate
• Drive sales, labour, margin and overall restaurant profitability
• Improve consistency across service, standards and guest experience
• Spend significant time in the restaurants, understanding individual site performance
• Coach and challenge operational leaders to improve performance
• Work closely with People, Finance, Marketing and Property teams
• Support new initiatives, openings and changes across the estate
• Ensure clear communication between restaurants and the wider business

The Person:

• Head of Operations or established senior multi-site restaurant experience
• Experience overseeing a sizeable portfolio of restaurants
• Strong track record of leading Area / Operations Managers
• Commercially strong and confident across restaurant P&Ls
• Very comfortable getting into the detail of individual site performance
• Strong people leader who can coach, challenge and develop teams
• Comfortable within a large, fast-moving restaurant business
• Visible, straightforward and operationally focused
