Job summary

Greenworld Technologies is seeking a Head of Operations to lead our busy onsite operation in Alsager. You will manage warehouse and onsite performance, drive efficiency, and work with senior leadership to meet financial and service targets.

The role requires hands-on leadership in a smaller SME setting with accountability for processes and improvement initiatives. You will develop operational strategies, refine workflows, and mentor teams to deliver high-quality service while controlling costs

Qualifications

• Experience leading operations in an SME environment with hands-on leadership.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, P&L and KPIs.

• Experience in warehouse, logistics or manufacturing settings.

Greenworld Technologies is an established technology services business supporting organisations with the secure management, processing, refurbishment and lifecycle management of IT assets.

With a strong customer base across both public and private sectors, Greenworld is now looking for an experienced Head of Operations to lead its operational function and drive improvements across performance, productivity, people and process.

This is a senior, hands‑on role with responsibility for warehouse and onsite operational performance, financial and KPI management, continuous improvement and service delivery.

The role

The Head of Operations will take ownership of day‑to‑day operational performance across the business, with a particular focus on improving efficiency, strengthening processes and ensuring resources are used effectively.

There is significant opportunity to review how the operation currently works and introduce greater structure, consistency and accountability.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading day‑to‑day warehouse and onsite operational performance
• Leading the senior leadership team against agreed financial, service and performance targets
• Improving warehouse workflows, stock movement and space utilisation
• Identifying opportunities to increase productivity, reduce cost and improve profitability
• Developing and documenting operational processes
• Defining and managing operational KPIs
• Preparing and managing operational budgets
• Managing operating costs and resource planning
• Leading continuous improvement and operational change projects
• Managing, developing and motivating operational teams
• Driving performance management and accountability
• Working closely with the Managing Director on operational strategy and capital investment
• Ensuring appropriate standards across quality, security, health & safety and environmental compliance

The formal remit includes operational budgets, KPI ownership, cost management, people leadership and the delivery of projects designed to improve efficiency and client service.

What we’re looking for

Greenworld is looking for an experienced operational leader who is comfortable working in a hands‑on SME environment and enjoys improving how a business operates.

You’re likely to have:

• Strong Operations Manager, Head of Operations or General Management experience
• Experience within warehouse, logistics, distribution, manufacturing or another service‑led operational environment
• Experience managing teams of up to approximately 50 people
• Strong budget and P&L management experience
• Experience developing and managing KPIs
• A proven track record of process and continuous improvement
• Strong commercial judgement and confidence making data‑led decisions
• Excellent people‑management and performance‑management skills
• Strong stakeholder‑management and influencing skills
• The confidence to challenge existing processes and introduce new ways of working
• A practical, structured and analytical approach to problem solving

The specification particularly emphasises leadership, financial performance, KPI management, continuous improvement, commercial awareness and stakeholder management.
