Job summary

AstraZeneca UK Limited is seeking a Director, Diagnostic Partnerships within the Oncology Business Unit to lead external collaborations in GDx. You will refine business needs, engage with diagnostic partners and drive scoping, contracting and implementation strategy.

Reporting to the Senior Director, you will build stakeholder networks, lead due diligence, and present opportunities to senior management while coordinating across Legal, Compliance, and R&D functions to deliver in-market diagnostic

Qualifications

• Post-graduate education required or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Experience contracting, business development, strategy, consulting and/or pharma/diagnostic partnerships.
• Knowledge of governance procedures (CDAs, delegation of authorities, due diligence).
• Proficiency in financial evaluation techniques and deal structuring.

Responsibilities

• Shape GDx projects to meet business requirements within cost, quality and timelines.
• Develop relationships with external diagnostic partners and act as AstraZeneca's partner of choice.
• Lead schedules of work, own the deal process and align with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure post-contract handover to GDx for implementation and successful execution.
• Negotiate enterprise-wide agreements with Business Development and partners.
• Evaluate partnering opportunities with due diligence and objective analysis.
• Present opportunities to oncology leadership and build a strong external network.
• Attend external congresses to identify opportunities and nurture relationships.
• Collaborate across Oncology, Legal, Compliance, R&D and other teams as needed.
• Support or lead in building business cases and report progress to senior management.
