Job summary

KBR Careers seeks an experienced Project Director to lead a portfolio of high-value nuclear projects near Whitehaven, Cumbria. You will head multi-discipline teams, oversee governance, and drive delivery of projects up to £2bn in spend while ensuring safety, cost and schedule compliance.

The role requires extensive nuclear sector experience, strong leadership and stakeholder engagement at national and international levels, and a commitment to a safe, compliant operating environment.

Qualifications

• APM RPP or ChPP qualification is highly desirable.
• Senior PM level 4 graduate or equivalent with extensive project experience.
• Extensive experience delivering large, multidisciplinary projects in safety-critical environments.
• Proven leadership and ability to operate in a matrix organisation.
• Experience in nuclear engineering or related safety-critical sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of mega projects up to £2bn with national significance.
• Manage multi-discipline teams and supplier networks to time, cost and quality.
• Ensure safety, security and regulatory compliance across projects.
• Develop project execution strategies and governance for senior stakeholders.
• Engage with government bodies and customers at national/international levels.
• Drive continuous improvement and lessons learned across programmes.
