About the Job

The Global Head of New Product Planning (NPP) and TA Strategy, Immunology, reporting to the Global Franchise Head, will play a critical role in the franchise's growth. The NPP Head will support franchise heads in developing and implementing therapy area strategies, lead an experienced team, and collaborate across project teams to provide commercial leadership from pre-clinical to commercialization stages. This role involves working with internal and external stakeholders to evolve and adopt strategic initiatives and partnering with Business Development and M&A teams for external opportunities.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the Global Immunology NPP team
  • Support the Global Franchise Head and R&D heads in strategy development and prioritization of growth opportunities
  • Partner with project teams for pipeline planning and product development strategy
  • Develop commercial strategies for key assets aligned with GBU goals
  • Support program teams through governance processes, providing leadership within the franchise and investment committees
  • Conduct market analysis and competitive intelligence to identify trends
  • Understand regulatory, market access, and differentiation requirements for product commercialization
  • Ensure smooth transition of commercial insights to the Global Brand Lead
  • Collaborate with BD and M&A teams to explore synergies
  • Define and evolve disease and commercial areas of interest
  • Build and develop a high-performing team and foster cross-functional collaboration
About You

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA, MS, or PhD preferred
  • At least 10 years in the biopharmaceutical industry
  • Experience in Immunology preferred
  • Background in new product planning, pre-launch, or commercialization
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and analytical skills
  • Credibility with scientific and drug development stakeholders
  • Results-driven with multi-project management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a matrix environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Valid passport and willingness to travel up to 25%
