We are looking for a Head of Natural Resources MidCorp and Cat Risk (m/f), based in London. Reporting to the Global Head of Natural Resources, you will be responsible for the management, portfolio steering and growth of the Natural Resources MidCorp business.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensure an effective underwriting and approval process for business exceeding local authority.
• Monitor underwriting governance, guidelines, principles, and best practices.
• Provide training, guidance, and support to underwriters.
• Develop and execute underwriting strategy and risk appetite in collaboration with global and regional teams.
• Identify market opportunities, target segments, and clients through qualitative analysis and portfolio management.
• Drive portfolio achievement of financial targets, including reinsurance solutions.
• Coordinate transaction activity prioritization to optimize the portfolio.
• Review performance of underwriting lifecycle with relevant stakeholders.
• Research industry trends and external environment factors.
• Recommend and develop new/revised products, standards, and pricing tools.
• Support business acquisition and retention efforts.
• Represent Natural Resources MidCorp internally and externally.
• Expand offerings to new regions/countries.
• Align with Nat Cat management and risk strategies, ensuring proper reporting.
• Develop underwriting tools and reports for portfolio steering and process support.
• Run catastrophe loss models and prepare monitoring reports for global loss potential and reinsurance needs.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or similar; professional insurance qualification preferred.
• Proven experience managing international project teams and stakeholder engagement.
• Track record in project management, process improvement, and strategic planning.
• Knowledge of Natural Resources products, underwriting, and pricing.
• Experience with data-driven pricing tools and catastrophe modeling.
• Ability to work effectively in complex, global matrix organizations.
• Outstanding analytical skills, with ability to incorporate AI insights.
• Flexible, team-oriented, and aligned with diversity and inclusion values.
