*Fantastic career potential, fascinating company!

The Organisation

TDRC careers are thrilled to be working with one of the most influential communities in the International media industry. Based in London and operating internationally they have a team of talented staff with impressive broadcasting and media backgrounds. They are highly respected for their quality of insight and engagements they facilitate between the world’s leading content companies and their suppliers.

When they formed 13 years ago, they quickly established a reputation as a business network for the whole media supply chain. This progressive organisation has a unique ability to bring customers and suppliers together to increase understanding, drive change, and create business opportunities.

This is a role you will not want to ignore! Excellent career development!

The Role
  • The Membership Manager takes overall responsibility for acquiring and retaining their members.
  • You will work directly with the CEO, CCO, and COO, and the role will also bring you into daily contact with senior leaders from an unparalleled range of media companies - from major international broadcasters to global technology giants, niche streamers to tech startups.
  • You will be a key individual in our team, helping to take the company to the next level of its growth both in terms of revenue and profile within the worldwide media industry.
  • The person in this role will:
  • Set the overall vision and strategic plan for membership growth.
  • Identify companies within the media value chain who would benefit from the networking, insight and profile the company’s delivers.
  • Understand the strategic priorities of potential members and how the company membership could help deliver them.
  • Be a public face for the company, attending a range of company and industry events. In particular they will lead on membership sales and account management at the industry’s major trade shows (NAB and IBC).
  • Work with member companies to increase their engagement. You’ll support them to help more individuals engage more deeply with the company, driving more value for member companies and helping secure their membership renewal - reducing our overall churn.
  • Alongside the Head of Sponsorship, drive value growth by identifying opportunities for member companies to sponsor their outputs or commission bespoke engagements from the company.
  • Build relationships with key individuals in their member companies.
  • Collaborate with our technology team to build the processes and tools necessary to measure and report engagement, helping us and our member companies to measure ROI.
The kind of person we’re looking for
  • We are looking for someone who is self-starting and tenacious, and who gets excited by the opportunity to manage end to end processes for membership.
  • This is a key role in a small but high profile and fast-growing organisation. It would suit someone with an entrepreneurial nature and who is highly people orientated. We’re looking for someone who is excited by the opportunity to work closely with the leaders of an ambitious company to help it continue to grow.
  • The role would suit someone with proven account management experience, and/or experience in consultative, relationship-based sales.
  • Our communication is a really important attribute. We are a business-to-business organisation, so we focus our communications on the ways professionals like to interact with us. We’re therefore looking for someone who is highly comfortable in a B2B and often senior environment.
  • They offer its members high value strategic insight and guidance. The ideal candidate for this role will therefore have a strong interest in the media industry and its future direction, enabling them to discuss members’ priorities in the context of industry trends and their work.
The skills and experience you’ll need
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills that will make you an effective member of our team, and respected by our customers.
  • Great written communication skills, enabling you to get messages across effectively in email day-to-day, and to work with our CEO to build sales collateral.
  • An ability to build rapport quickly and effectively.
  • Excellent account management and customer success skills. You’ll likely have good experience working in account management and sales or a related area.
  • A demonstrable understanding of new business development.
  • A broad understanding of how media gets created and distributed, and knowledge of some of the best-known companies.
  • Strong analytical skills, helping you to understand our members’ engagement, spot trends, and focus your efforts where they can make the biggest impact.
  • An ability to solve problems and a desire to improve things, not simply follow pre-defi ned processes.
  • An ability to work to deadlines and to calmly balance competing projects and demands, prioritising as appropriate.
Why apply.

The company was founded in 2015, so it is still a young and growing company. They are based in London but operate internationally. You will get to travel abroad from time to time.

Known for being responsive and relevant. They are obsessed with delivering great value to current and prospective customers, and that’s what they discuss as a team all the time. They are a team that cares passionately about their values of openness, diversity, inclusion, and sustainability.

They have a hybrid working model. The whole team comes into the London office on a Wednesday and Thursday - but on the other three days you are free to choose whether to work at home or in the office.

They are very transparent - so as a member of the team you will get to see how the business is performing and be part of the discussion about how they continue to grow.

They are constantly discussing, as a team, how they can do better. That means they encourage opinions from everyone in the team about everything they do. They are very productive – They generate a lot of outputs and activity - so people who are very output focused enjoy working for them.

They have a great range of staff benefits

  • 25 days annual leave
  • Discretionary bonus scheme
  • Pension Scheme
  • Additional birthday leave
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Electric Car leasing scheme
  • Bi-monthly team social events
  • 6 months paid maternity and paternity leave
