Classroom Talent is supporting a Slough secondary school to appoint an experienced Head of Maths from January 2027. This permanent, full-time post is employed directly by the school and leads a Mathematics department of seven teachers.

The role focuses on strategic leadership, curriculum development, and improving teaching and outcomes across KS3 and KS4, with a salary of MPS/UPS up to £52,490 plus £13,693 TLR1b. There are strong development opportunities within a supportive leadership team.

Qualifications

• Qualified Maths Teacher with QTS.
• Experience teaching KS3 and KS4.
• Proven leadership in a Maths department.
• Ability to mentor Maths Teachers.
• Strong curriculum planning and assessment skills.
• Excellent communication and organisation.

Responsabilités

• Lead, manage and develop the Mathematics department comprising 7 teachers.
• Provide strategic leadership for Mathematics across the school.
• Drive improvements in teaching, learning and student outcomes across KS3 and KS4.
• Oversee curriculum planning, delivery, assessment and departmental development.
• Monitor student progress and implement strategies to raise attainment.
• Support, coach and mentor Maths Teachers.
• Work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team to support departmental and whole-school improvement.
• Opportunity to undertake additional whole-school responsibilities as part of future leadership development.
