Head of Marketing – (Social Welfare Charity, Home based in the UK)

Type: Perm, full-time role

Location: Remote within the UK, with 1-2 meetings a month in London

Civitas Recruitment is working with a charity focused on developing a thriving Muslim community in the UK. The charity helps Muslims calculate and give Zakat to those in need across the UK. An exciting opportunity exists for a Head of Marketing to join the team. You will be responsible for increasing brand awareness, engaging donors, managing digital presence, and creating high-quality content. You will lead a small team covering social media, content, creative, and corporate communications, ensuring alignment with the charity’s mission. This is a full-time, permanent role with remote working and occasional travel to London.

Who are we looking for?

Candidates should have at least five years of senior experience in digital and performance marketing. Extensive understanding of integrated marketing campaigns and channel marketing is essential. Experience managing digital marketing activities across SEO, email, social media, and PPC is required. The candidate should be highly creative, capable of identifying target audiences, and devising campaigns that inform, educate, inspire, and motivate donors. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with influencing skills with donors, colleagues, and partners, are necessary. Cultural awareness and sensitivity within faith-based contexts are important.
