Location: CDE Manufacturing, 370 Doagh Road

Job Purpose &

Working collaboratively with the Leadership teams across all our global regions, you will have strategic and tactical responsibility for developing and implementing the manufacturing strategy and strategic operational goals to exceed customer expectations for product quality, cost and delivery, maximising efficiency, optimising production levels and driving operational excellence.

The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the Manufacturing pillar, which will include people and budgetary management. You will lead, direct and monitor all aspects of production in our manufacturing campus. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently and that the set production goals are met while maintaining compliance with legal and safety standards.

About The Role

  • Responsibilities:
  • Developing and executing manufacturing strategies and objectives to ensure the operation is aligned with organisational goals.
  • Prepare and manage the annual Manufacturing budget and forecasts and feed into the overarching operations and supply chain strategy.
  • Oversee schedules and assignments for the division.
  • Create and refine systems to minimise error, improve quality and bolster productivity.
  • Lead the operations function for a large manufacturing team to deliver Company targets and standards, driving and improving operational excellence to exceed customer expectations.
  • Identify and implement best practice manufacturing strategies, policies, processes and procedures to support and continuously improve business performance.
  • Analyse, monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators across all areas of the Manufacturing function to ensure that all projects are delivered on cost and on time to the highest quality standards.
  • Oversee the manufacture of products, ensuring production, labour performance, material utilisation and quality standards are consistently achieved.
  • Establish and build relationships with external partners and suppliers.
  • Oversee coordination of subcontract operations, working closely with procurement to form strategic partnerships.
  • Live the company values within a ‘Believe it Possible, Do It Right, Elevate Each Other, Create Excitement’ ethos, and proactively promote the CDE culture throughout the team.
  • Recruit, train, develop, motivate, and lead the team in line with our strategic vision and ensure achievement of the agreed targets.
  • Identify & justify opportunities for capital investment that will improve the overall efficiency of the facility.
  • Promote a safe working environment, ensuring Health, Safety and Environmental issues are prioritised and facilitated.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.
  • Support project management and cross-functional activities required for project execution.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement across all manufacturing-related areas of the business, especially around design for manufacturing, assembly and installation
  • Build and maintain a collaborative working environment in line with the CDE culture, demonstrating personal commitment to the organisational values through your behaviours
  • Be fully involved in the performance management, attendance management and other employee relations activities within your area of responsibility as appropriate.
  • Champion adherence to company policy and practice across the business.
  • Carry out any other duties within reason and capability associated with this role.

Desired Criteria

  • Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen experience
  • 2 years Design experience (SW & Practical)
  • IFS and Power BI experience

Required Criteria

  • 3rd level (or above) qualification in a relevant discipline or demonstration of significant comparable experience
  • 5 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Fully conversant with all relevant Health & Safety regulations
  • Experience of working with ERP systems and MS Office particularly Word & Excel
  • Comprehensive knowledge of quality assurance principles, methods, design, testing and implementation
  • Thorough understanding of manufacturing principles
