ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Head of Maintenance at a Barchester care home, you'll ensure a clean and well-maintained environment so residents feel at home and staff can perform their duties effectively. Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere is part of our commitment to delivering first-class care and support.

You can expect a variety of tasks as a Head of Maintenance. You'll handle maintenance within the care home building, gardens, and grounds. This could involve fixing a leaky tap and planting bulbs. You should be comfortable working independently, leading a team, and supporting the General Manager with annual budget planning. You will also liaise with contractors for jobs outside your team's expertise.

ABOUT YOU
The wellbeing of our residents will be your top priority. As a Head of Maintenance, you'll ensure all work is carried out with sensitivity to their needs. You should have hands-on property maintenance experience, at least one trade skill, and the ability to undertake a range of maintenance tasks. Reliability, flexibility in working hours, a full UK driving licence, IT literacy, and GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent) are required.
