Job summary

UK-Research-and-Innovation- in Cambridge seeks a dynamic Research Group Leader to drive a cutting-edge programme in macromolecular structure at molecular and cellular scales. You will recruit and mentor a team, manage budgets and equipment, publish in top journals, and communicate research progress to national and international audiences.

You will shape the scientific direction of the division, collaborate across the LMB and external partners, and contribute to public engagement and knowledge

Qualifications

• Essential: Ph.D. in a relevant subject.
• Desirable: Significant track record with emphasis on quality rather than quantity.
• Essential: Independent and internationally successful work on a relevant subject.
• Desirable: Experience delivering projects from proposal to completion.

Responsibilities

• Lead a research programme addressing long-term fundamental questions in macromolecular structure.
• Publish in internationally visible journals and media; present at conferences.
• Recruit, train and line-manage group members; manage resources.
• Translate research results into useful new approaches and engage with public and IP activities.
