Lex Talent is supporting a London-based UK law firm to appoint its first Head of Learning & Development. You will own the learning strategy across the firm, from business services to partners, and shape how professionals grow and reach their potential.
This is strategic design and delivery: build a learning culture, identify future skills, develop leadership programmes, and lead a small team as the function evolves. You will influence senior stakeholders and drive upskilling across the firm.
London | UK Law Firm | Exclusive to Lex Talent
Imagine joining a hugely successful law firm and being handed a blank canvas.
No inherited L&D strategy. No established function to work around. No legacy approach to follow.
Just the opportunity to build something exceptional. From the ground up.
One of the UK’s recent law firm success stories is looking to appoint its first-ever Head of Learning & Development.
And the timing couldn't be better.
With approximately 500 people in London and a reputation that continues to go from strength to strength, this is a firm with genuine momentum.
Now it's investing in its people.
And that's where you come in.
This is an opportunity to take complete ownership of learning and development across the firm, shaping how its business services professionals, lawyers and partners develop, grow and reach their potential.
You’ll have the freedom to:
This is strategy AND delivery.
You’ll need the vision to see what great looks like, the credibility to influence senior stakeholders and the energy to roll up your sleeves and make it happen.
Law firm experience would be highly advantageous, particularly if you understand the dynamics of working with partners and senior legal professionals.
But above all, I'm looking for someone who gets genuinely excited about building something from scratch.
Someone who doesn't need a ready-made playbook.
Someone who wants to create one.
It's an opportunity to look back in a few years' time and proudly say: "I built that."
If you're an ambitious L&D professional who has been waiting for the right platform to really make your mark, I'd love to hear from you.
