Head of IT – AWS / Network Security (FTC → Perm)

I'm currently recruiting on behalf of a pioneering cloud-native media technology startup that’s transforming how content is created, secured, and delivered globally across VFX and post-production.

We’re looking for a Head of IT – AWS / Network Security to join on an initial 6-month FTC, with the clear intention to convert to a permanent role. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership position at the intersection of infrastructure, cybersecurity, and creative technology.

? What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead secure design, implementation, and scaling of hybrid infrastructure (on-prem, AWS)
• Own end-to-end network security (VPNs, VLANs, Zero Trust, firewalls)
• Implement cybersecurity protocols aligned with MPA, TPN, and studio standards
• Oversee IAM, endpoint protection, encryption, and threat monitoring
• Support global remote teams and creative tools (Resolve, Adobe, ShotGrid, etc.)
• Automate IT ops and user provisioning (scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell)

? About You:

• 5+ years in IT infrastructure and/or cybersecurity (M&E or VFX background a bonus)
• Proven experience managing secure, cloud-native and hybrid environments (esp. AWS)
• Strong networking and security fundamentals (firewalls, IAM, routing, DNS)
• Experience with creative production environments a plus
