Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT infrastructure and cybersecurity, preferably in M&E or VFX.
• Experience managing secure, cloud-native, and hybrid environments, especially AWS.
• Strong networking and security fundamentals including firewalls and IAM.

Head of IT – AWS / Network Security (FTC → Perm)

Location: London | Hybrid

Type: Full-Time | 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract (with intent to go permanent)

We are recruiting for a pioneering cloud-native media technology startup that’s transforming content creation, security, and delivery across VFX and post-production.

We seek a Head of IT – AWS / Network Security to join on an initial 6-month FTC, with the goal of transitioning to a permanent role. This leadership position focuses on infrastructure, cybersecurity, and creative technology.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and scale hybrid infrastructure (on-premises and AWS)
• Manage network security including VPNs, VLANs, Zero Trust, and firewalls
• Implement cybersecurity protocols aligned with industry standards
• Oversee IAM, endpoint protection, encryption, and threat monitoring
• Support remote teams and creative tools (Resolve, Adobe, ShotGrid, etc.)
• Automate IT operations and user provisioning using scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)

Qualifications:

• 5+ years in IT infrastructure and/or cybersecurity, preferably with M&E or VFX experience
• Experience managing secure, cloud-native, and hybrid environments, especially AWS
• Strong networking and security fundamentals (firewalls, IAM, routing, DNS)
• Experience in creative production environments is advantageous
