️ What you’ll be doing:

The Head of IT will be responsible for managing and developing Bazaar Group’s IT and system infrastructure, working with external providers to develop solutions and ensuring the business has robust systems security and data protection measures in place.

This role requires technical experience of e-commerce platforms (including web and third party marketplace integrations), ERP & warehousing systems and office applications. A strong understanding and practical demonstration of effective project management is key, as the role involves working with different stakeholders to deliver projects to drive the business forward. A few examples include courier integrations, website development and channel integrations.

Key tasks:

• Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to develop and execute Bazaar Group’s IT strategy, in line with business values and objectives.
• Assume responsibility for the company’s current IT systems, including Internal and External Servers, third party integrations and E-Commerce solutions.
• Manage Bazaar Group’s internal infrastructure, Khaos Control ERP and Microsoft Office applications
• Manage and be technical lead on any new system integrations (including new third party channels)
• Manage the relationships with external providers to ensure SLA’s are met or exceeded and that the business gets a strong ROI from investment.
• Manage the prioritisation of the IT workload, ensuring timely resolution of all requests.
• Identify and implement system and process improvements to drive business performance.
• Maintain and develop Bazaar Group’s current and future IT policies, working with the HR department to ensure policies are implemented correctly.
• Ensure that Bazaar Group’s Data Protection processes and systems for customers and suppliers are consistent with our Data Protection policies and legal obligations.
• Manage all regulatory compliance and ensure insurance requirements are met.
• Maintain, develop and implement IT disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Liaise with internal management teams to determine systems and data requirements.
• Stay informed about security best practices and take proactive measures to address IT security risks.
• Leadership of IT function including line management of the IT Technician and other secondees to the IT function.

We’re looking for a person who...

Must:

• Educated to degree level, or equivalent
• Good general level of education in core numeracy & literacy subjects
• 5+ years of IT management experience with proven experience of overall IT leadership in an SME business.
• Experience working within an e-commerce business with website development and/or third party marketplace integration experience
• Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time and in budget.
• Strong technical knowledge and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 for Business.
• Working knowledge of an ecommerce platform eg. Magento or Shopify
