Job summary

Arriva TrainCare is seeking an experienced Head of Internal Communications to lead colleague and operational communications across the business. You will translate priorities into clear, engaging messages that drive operational performance and engagement.

In this senior role you will partner with senior leaders, manage channels and calendars, and develop governance and best practices to ensure consistent, high-quality communications across frontline and office teams.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading internal/operational communications in a large organisation.
• Proven success in developing comms strategies that support priorities and change.
• Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills; ability to translate complex information.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver internal communication strategies aligned to business priorities.
• Lead timely, clear, actionable information for frontline, office and operations teams.
• Translate complex business information into engaging colleague messages.
• Coach leaders to communicate confidently and consistently; provide toolkits.
• Oversee content across intranet, email, digital channels, team briefings and events.
• Establish governance, standards and measurement of communication impact.
• Lead crisis, incident and business continuity communications when required.
