Job description

Job Description:

We are partnering with an established Higher Education provider in the West Midlands seeking to appoint a Head of Information Compliance on a permanent basis.

The role offers hybrid working (2 days remote) and a salary in the range of £45,000 to £54,000 per annum.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing compliance with GDPR, SAR, FOIA, and relevant legislation
  • Providing advice on GDPR/data protection and FOI compliance, including drafting contracts involving personal data processing
  • Leading on agreements like DPIAs and Data Sharing Agreements
  • Enhancing GDPR and FOIA compliance, including updating policies and statutory requirements
  • Partnering with university departments on records management
  • Developing frameworks, policies, procedures, and training on data protection and records management
  • Managing and mentoring 2 direct reports

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Solicitor or extensive experience in Legal Services handling legal queries
