Distinct Recruitment is recruiting a Head of HR to lead people strategy and transformation in a Derby-based, onsite role. You will report to the CEO, shape organisational design, and drive cross-site integration as the business grows and acquires new firms.

With a track record at board level, you will steer culture, leadership development, and HR capability across multiple locations, ensuring compliance and strategic alignment with growth plans.

Head of HR | Derby | Onsite

An opportunity for an experienced HR leader who enjoys driving change, challenging the status quo and playing a key role in business growth. We're partnering with a successful, ambitious business looking to appoint a commercially minded Head of HR as it enters an exciting period of growth, acquisition and transformation. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the board, this is a genuinely influential role with the opportunity to shape the people strategy, lead organisational change and ensure the business is set up for continued growth. With further acquisitions planned, a key focus will be on M&A integration, cultural alignment and bringing people, processes and teams together across a growing multi-site business. You'll lead an established HR team, driving improvements across organisational design, leadership capability, employee engagement and people development. There's plenty to get stuck into, with real scope to challenge existing ways of working and make a lasting impact.

What we're looking for:

• An established Head of HR with experience operating at board level and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Proven experience supporting M&A activity, including TUPE and post-acquisition integration.
• A strong track record of leading organisational change and transformation.
• A commercial, strategic mindset with the ability to turn ideas into practical solutions.
• Experience leading and developing HR teams, driving continuous improvement and building capability.
• Ideally, a background in professional services or a similarly regulated environment.
• Personality and approach will be just as important as experience.
• We're looking for someone confident, engaging and comfortable challenging the status quo.

The role is based in Derby, five days onsite, with some travel to other UK locations.
