St Leonards School in St Andrews, Fife, seeks a Director of Hockey to lead and develop the School’s hockey programme. You will coach across age groups, set development objectives with the Director of Sport, and build a pathway from introduction to performance while fostering a positive team culture.

This full-time, fixed-term role requires experience coaching hockey with young people, a relevant coaching qualification or equivalent, and a commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifikationen

• Experience coaching hockey with children or young people.
• A relevant hockey coaching qualification, or equivalent coaching experience.
• Strong technical and tactical knowledge of hockey.
• Ability to lead and encourage colleagues, communicate clearly with pupils and parents.

Aufgaben

• Programme leadership and development: lead hockey programme, set development objectives, ensure progression across age groups.
• Coaching and player development: plan and deliver sessions, developing technical, tactical, and physical skills.
• Teams and fixtures: lead selections, prepare for fixtures, align training with transport and administrative needs.
• Working relationships and pupil welfare: collaborate with staff, maintain safeguarding and welfare standards.
