Overview:
  1. Be a Kiwa Ambassador, embodying ambition, reliability, and engagement.
  2. Lead and implement a comprehensive H&S strategy aligned with organisational goals.
  3. Foster a proactive, safety-first culture across all levels of the organisation.
  4. Ensure compliance with local, national, and international H&S regulations.
  5. Drive risk management by identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential hazards.
  6. Provide leadership and training to equip teams with effective H&S practices.
  7. Collaborate with global colleagues to align UK H&S practices with group strategies.
  8. Oversee H&S training programs to enhance awareness and capabilities.
  9. Investigate incidents to identify root causes and prevent future occurrences.
  10. Report on H&S performance, including key metrics and progress on improvement actions.
  11. Engage with stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, to maintain compliance and best practices.
Responsibilities:
  • Recognised professional in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a senior H&S role, ideally in a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Leadership experience managing large-scale H&S programs across multiple sites.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence and drive a safety-first culture.
  • Skilled in risk management, problem-solving, and compliance.
  • Strong planning, organisational, and project management abilities.
  • Self-starter with a proactive, hands-on approach to challenges.
  • Experienced in balancing customer, employee, and shareholder needs.
  • Willing to travel frequently as needed.
  • Flexible, reliable, and results-oriented team player.
Qualifications:
  • Generous Annual Leave – Starting at 25 days plus Bank Holidays, with the option to buy additional leave and increased entitlement with length of service.
  • 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday, remote role with frequent travel.
