Job summary

Holland & Barrett is seeking a senior leader to head Group Product Data Compliance, shaping the strategy, governance and operating model for product and supplier data across the group. You will build scalable data foundations and set standards across markets to enable automation and growth.

This role leads a 15–20 person multi-location team, partners with Product, Supply Chain, Technology and Analytics to drive quality improvements and regulatory compliance, and champions data-driven decisions

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in product master data, product information management or data governance.
• Experience in retail/FMCG or consumer goods environments.
• Experience turning strategy into practical, scalable change.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver group-wide strategy and roadmap for product data compliance, governance and quality.
• Create consistent standards, processes and controls across markets.
• Lead end-to-end product data lifecycle from onboarding to retirement.
• Build clear product data structures, hierarchies and sources of truth.
• Lead and develop a multi-location team of 15–20 colleagues.
• Partner with Product Integrity, Supply Chain, Commercial, Manufacturing, Technology, Data & Analytics and Digital teams.
• Shape and optimise MDM, PIM, PLM and related technology landscape.

Head of Group Product Data Compliance (42346)

We offer hybrid working, with an expectation that you'll be present at one of our Holland & Barrett offices in Nuneaton or another designated H&B hub (London) for a minimum of two days per week. If London based, Nuneaton travel would be required min 1 day per week - International travel may also be required.

We're creating a stronger, group-wide approach toproduct data, and this is an opportunity to shape it from the ground up.

As Head of Group Product Data Compliance, you'll set the strategy, governance and operating model for product and supplier data across Holland & Barrett. You'll bring together currently fragmented ways of working, establish clear sources of truth and build the foundations for greater automation, efficiency and growth.

This is a role for someone who can set the direction and make it happen: building the roadmap, leading change across functions and markets, and creating a product data capability that can scale with our ambitions.

What you'll be doing

• Define and deliver our group-wide strategy and roadmap for product data compliance, governance and quality.
• Create consistent standards, processes and controls across markets, channels and business units.
• Lead the end-to-end product data lifecycle, from supplier and product onboarding through to maintenance and retirement.
• Build clear product data structures, hierarchies and sources of truth across the organisation.
• Lead and develop a multi-location team of around 15–20 colleagues, bringing together capabilities as our group model evolves.
• Partner with Product Integrity, Supply Chain, Commercial, Manufacturing, Technology, Data & Analytics and Digital teams.
• Shape and optimise our MDM, PIM, PLM and related technology landscape.
• Develop an automation roadmap, using data, analytics and AI to reduce manual activity, improve quality and increase pace.
• Strengthen product data compliance to support regulatory requirements and the movement of goods across borders.
• Establish meaningful measures for data quality, accuracy, completeness and timeliness, using insight to drive continuous improvement.

What you'll bring

You'll bring deep expertise in product master data, product information management or data governance, alongside experience of turning strategy into practical, sustainable change.

You'll also have:

• Experience working with product data in a retail, FMCG or consumer packaged goods environment.
• Familiarity with systems used to manage complex product data, including MDM, PIM, ERP and PLM platforms.
• Experience developing enterprise-level data governance, standards and operating models.
• Leadership experience across multi-location teams and complex stakeholder groups.
• An understanding of product data structures, hierarchies, quality frameworks and stewardship models.
• Experience contributing to significant technology or digital transformation programmes.
• The ability to bring clarity to ambiguity, challenge existing ways of working and build solutions that work across different parts of a business.
• Experience working across international markets would be valuable.
