Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a proactive Head of Group Governance, Risk & Control (GRC) Services to lead a centralised capability providing governance, risk, control and compliance services across the Society. You will support ExCo and Risk Directors, driving high standards, simplification and continuous improvement while ensuring risk management outcomes for customers.

Qualifications

• Significant governance, risk, control, compliance, audit experience in financial services.
• Proven ability to lead inclusive, high-performing teams and manage change.
• Strong communication, relationship management and senior stakeholder engagement.
• Deep understanding of regulatory compliance and risk management practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Group GRC Services team with clear direction and accountability.
• Collaborate with Risk Directors to deliver governance, risk, control and compliance services.
• Design and deliver accurate, timely risk, control, conduct and compliance reporting.
• Drive centralised service delivery, simplifying and modernising processes.
• Leverage data, insight, automation and AI to improve quality and outcomes.
• Build trusted relationships and influence senior stakeholders to achieve objectives.
