Job Description:

A market-leading global Plc group is looking for a technically strong interim Head of Group Financial Reporting for an initial period of 6 months. This role will take ownership of complex multi-currency consolidation and group financial reporting requirements. This is a fantastic interim opportunity to join an acquisitive group. The finance function is undergoing transformation, including entity integration, process improvements, and systems implementations.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for complex multi-currency consolidations
• Lead the accurate and timely completion of external financial reporting
• Production of subsidiary statutory accounts for all legal entities
• Manage the planning and execution of the annual and interim audit timetables and coordinate with auditors to ensure a smooth and timely process
• Support the Group Financial Controller in preparing papers for the Board and Audit Committee
• Implement changes to IFRS across the Group
• Coordinate the preparation and approval of proposed new accounting policies
• Review and prepare going concern, investment appraisal, and goodwill models
• Manage share-based payment calculations related to SAYE and share option schemes
• Ensure correct reporting of intangible assets, both acquired and internally developed capitalized expenditure
• Lead technical aspects of acquisition accounting and support integration of newly acquired businesses
• Assist with legal structure rationalization and simplification projects
• Support the transformation team to ensure successful ERP system implementation into Group reporting

Person Requirements:

• Proven experience leading a Group Finance team within a multinational listed company
• Deep expertise in consolidation processes and financial reporting
• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ICAEW, or equivalent)
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for effective engagement across management levels
• Proactive, adaptable, and capable of delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines
• Experience with diverse financial systems and technologies
• Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and excellence
