Job description

I’m working with a highly respected organisation on an exciting opportunity for an experienced FP&A Manager to join their finance leadership team.

This is a broad role combining FP&A, financial planning, business partnering, team leadership and transformation, with the successful candidate playing a key role in supporting senior stakeholders and shaping the future direction of the finance function.

You’ll lead an established team of Finance Business Partners and Finance Analysts, providing leadership and development while continuing to strengthen the way finance partners with the wider business.

The organisation is also going through a period of significant change, with a number of finance transformation initiatives underway. This creates a genuine opportunity for someone to improve processes, reporting and systems rather than simply inherit an existing FP&A function.

The role will include:
  • Leading and developing a team of Finance Business Partners and Finance Analysts
  • Leading the FP&A agenda across budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
  • Providing financial insight, analysis and challenge to senior stakeholders
  • Supporting strategic decision-making through high-quality financial information and modelling
  • Developing and improving financial planning and forecasting processes
  • Working closely with operational and leadership teams to understand performance and identify opportunities
  • Driving improvements across MI, reporting, data and systems
  • Leading and embedding finance transformation and process improvements
  • Ensuring finance continues to provide strong commercial challenge and business partnering
  • Supporting the continued development of the wider finance function
What they’re looking for:

We're looking for an experienced FP&A / Commercial Finance professional who combines strong technical finance capability with excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.

You’ll ideally have experience in:
  • FP&A, financial planning, budgeting and forecasting
  • Long-term financial modelling and strategic planning
  • Leading and developing finance teams
  • Business partnering at a senior level
  • Improving processes, reporting and financial systems
  • Managing and embedding change
  • Presenting financial information clearly to senior, non-finance stakeholders

The organisation is open on sector background. What's important is your ability to lead a strong FP&A function, develop people, influence senior stakeholders and drive improvements across finance.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants a role with breadth, influence and genuine scope to make a difference, rather than simply managing a traditional FP&A cycle.
