GSK seeks a Head of Global Supply Planning to lead and enhance our supply chain planning efforts. This pivotal role requires strategic oversight of supply chain decisions, team leadership of a significant group of planning professionals, and collaboration across various stakeholders to meet supply chain targets. The ideal candidate has at least ten years of experience in supply chain management and effective communication skills. This position provides an opportunity to directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our global supply chain operations.
The Global Supply Chain team is responsible for orchestrating SC activities worldwide to guarantee reliable and secure delivery of medicines and vaccines while optimizing cost and inventory. To deliver our SC ambition and enable profitable growth, focus is required at planning level to reinforce, integrate & automate planning processes, implement new capabilities and establish a strong SC planning community across the supply chain.
In this context, the role of the Head of Global Supply Planning is to:
Responsible for taking decisions that impact final demand and supply plans to optimize our E2E network Lead a community of planners and develop an empowered, bold, trusted and highly capable planning organization Drive the SC planning transformation to reinforce, integrate & automate planning processes and implement new capabilities Develop and deliver on the strategic roadmap and priorities in collaboration with key stakeholders across the entire supply chain like Manufacturing sites, QA, Procurement, Finance, Commercial Operations to deliver overall Supply Chain targets and ambition Drive the integration across all planning therapy areas into the formation of One Integrated Global Planning Organization Deliver the optimal master plans (0-3 years) for manufacturing sites and CMOs that meets demand (including new product introduction and life cycle changes), cuts lead times and optimizes margins Translate supply chain strategies into priorities for planning to ensure break through targets are delivered (service, lead times, inventory, cost to serve, SKU profitability) Lead and optimize the Supply Chain governance process to enable timely decision making. Collaborate with global process owners and other stakeholders like Finance and Commercial to enable a faster and improved Core Commercial Cycle (IBP)
