Job summary

Niantic Spatial in London is seeking a first-in-role product leader for the Large Geospatial Model. You will own the roadmap, set release bars, and determine data strategy with Legal and Business Development, collaborating with the London research team.

By year one, you’ll align research, engineering and product leads across industrial, defense, robotics and platform customers, shipping eval-based releases and shaping long-term direction for a world‑changing geospatial AI.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in product management, including at least three years shipping a large model to users or customers.
• Experience writing evals for a model and using them to decide when a release was ready.
• Direct work on training data, such as setting a data mix, running labeling or human-feedback programs, or negotiating data licenses.
• Depth in how large models are trained, post-trained and evaluated; able to collaborate with researchers on technical decisions.
• Experience setting direction for teams not reporting to you.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the Model Roadmap and decide the order of new capabilities for the Large Geospatial Model.
• Set the Release Bar with evals and acceptance criteria for each capability.
• Own the Data Plan including data collection, licensing, curation and training-rights requirements.
• Turn Capabilities into Products by defining value and go-to-market approach.
• Set the Long-Term Direction for the model across multiple years and investment strategy.
